“Wishing Trees” Nominated at Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation & Technology

I have some very exciting news to share that “Wishing Trees” has been nominated at the Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation & Technology (PFCAT)! It feels especially fitting that this particular film is making its Oregon Premiere in Portland, a city surrounded by so much greenery and with such a strong connection to nature. Wishing Trees is, after all, a story about trees and the quiet ways that nature becomes part of our lives. I’m really looking forward to seeing the film on the big screen and experiencing it in a city that feels so naturally connected to its subject. The screening will be part of Animation Extravaganza (Strikes Back) on Friday, August 21 at 6:00 PM at the Empirical Theater at OMSI. I’ll be attending with some of the wonderful crew who helped bring the film to life, which makes this occasion even more special. Learn more about PFCAT

I’m so grateful to PFCAT for including Wishing Trees and giving this quiet, dialogue-free story a chance to connect with a new audience. I’m also excited to celebrate with the other filmmakers and see all the beautiful animated work in the program. If you’re in Portland, come join us for the screening and I’d love to see you there!
